报告人基本信息:

    Dr. Philip Westbrook is a clinical professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Technology Studies in the College of Education at The University of Alabama.  He started his career in education in 1990 as an elementary teacher in a small school district outside of Birmingham, Alabama.  He served as an elementary teacher for eight years at two different schools before becoming a school administrator.  He spent nine years working as a principal and assistant superintendent in public schools in Alabama.  In 2007 he joined the faculty at The University of Alabama where he has served as the director of a leadership development organization and taught public policy, honor courses, and graduate courses in instructional leadership.  He currently teaches courses in curriculum, supervision, finance, and education law to current and aspiring principals and superintendents.  He serves on the advisory board for the National Education Finance Academy.   Dr. Westbrook holds a B.S. in Education from Birmingham-Southern College, a Masters in Education from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Vanderbilt University.
